WHAT IS THE SUPERNOVA CHALLENGE 2.0?
The Supernova Challenge 2.0 is the world’s largest early stage startup pitch competition, offering founders the opportunity to take home a cash pool of $200,000 equity-free!
Selected exhibiting startups have the chance to pitch directly to investors at the monthly Qualifiers, providing additional exposure and investor introductions prior to Expand North Star.
How Can I apply?
To participate in the Supernova Challenge pitch competition, you must be an exhibiting startup at Expand North Star 2024. We will notify you once Supernova Challenge is open for applications for our 2024 edition via email. Once you apply, you will receive emails on if you’ve been selected for the Virtual Qualifiers or for the Semi-Finals.

2023 SUPERNOVA CHALLENGE OVERALL CHAMPION & WINNER OF 100,000 USD
Congratulations to our overall Supernova Challenge Champion and winner of a spectacular 100,000 USD cash prize. Accredify from Singapore, a SaaS IT solutions provider headquartered in Singapore enables organisations to create and issue verifiable documents, known as “accredified documents, that can be verified by third-parties”. We caught up with Simon Gordon, Chief Commercial Officer at Accredify, to talk about what winning the Supernova Challenge means for the business.

To enter the Supernova Pitch competition:
1) You will need to be one of the exhibiting startups attending Expand North Star.
2) Startups will then receive access to our Exhibitor Portal (Ezone)
3) Startups will then be required to submit their pitch deck, elevator pitch video & application form to be eligible for Supernova 2.0

My experience with the Supernova Challenge was truly remarkable. This competition is a massive event, and I found it incredibly exciting to pitch in front of so many other innovative startups. It was not only a unique opportunity to showcase our own ideas but also a chance to learn from and be inspired by the incredible work being done by startups from all over the world.
The Supernova Challenge provided a great opportunity for us to pitch in front of over 100 people. The 10X Stage stands out a lot compared to other startup events. Actually, straight after the Supernova final, investors approached me directly to express their interest in our business.
Winning the Overall Supernova Champion award has so far been incredibly impactful to our market entry. It gave us a lot of momentum which we wouldn't have had otherwise. We are rapidly building on top of this foundation and engaging with customers and partners in Dubai. The prize money will really help us grow our business not just in Dubai but in UAE and the wider GCC. There are so many opportunities in this region, and we are really excited.
My experience at the Supernova Challenge and at Expand North Star 2023 was the most amazing event experience I have ever had. The jurors were exceptional and we had fantastic meetings with global investors who loved our startup and mission.
