Juan Carlos Calderón Castro

With more than 17 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Juan Carlos Calderón Castro Heads the EMEA ESG and Climate Consultant’s team at MSCI. His team works with several pension funds, asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies and banks across the EMEA region. Supporting these clients on a variety of ESG and Climate considerations including regulatory and compliance requirements, the execution of their climate commitments, the deployment of ESG and Climate strategies in their investment process, etc. Juan Carlos is also member of the Board of Directors of SpainSif (Spanish Forum of Responsible Investments). Prior to joining MSCI ESG Research, Juan Carlos worked in several positions including the FX derivatives trading desk at Banco Santander. He holds an MBA with emphasis in Finance and Energy from HEC Paris. He is a CFA charterholder.
