Ahmad Almeghames

Dr. Ahmad AlMeghames is the CEO of Saudi Organisation for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) and serves on its board of directors, in addition to administrative positions he holds and committees in which he participates that include: Member of the Technical Committee at the Ministry of Finance for the project of transforming government agencies to the Accrual basis of accounting, Member of the Real Estate Contributions Committee, and Member of ISAR (ISAR is the Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting, the United Nations focal point on accounting and corporate governance matters).
Before being named CEO in 2006, Dr. AlMeghames held several leadership roles including Vice-Chairman of the Committee professional accountant organization Developing Committee of the IFAC, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions, and Member of the Standing Committee for the phenomenon of investing money.
Dr. AlMeghames holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration in Accounting from Mississippi State University, USA, a Master of Business Administration, Majoring in Accounting, University of Bridgeport, USA, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from King Saud University, Saudi Arabia.
